Desmond X Basa is a freshman at Jackson High School who is enjoying his remote-learning experience from his family's Bothell area home.
The first day of school used to come with memories of new shoes, backpacks, and possibly a ride on a yellow bus.
But pandemic-era students will have an entirely new set of memories. School started in the Everett school district Sept. 9.
