Ciaravino's contract is amended to add five days of paid time off
Review plays out as engineering department empties, then restaffs its director

City Manager Michael Ciaravino's performance review ended with a majority opinion of the council that he "met expectations," and his contract was amended to add five additional paid days off, but no raise.
The review was approved in a Sept. 8 City Council meeting with a 5-0 vote, and one councilmember abstaining.
Councilmember John Steckler was the abstention. The reason, he told the Beacon, is that the review process did not address a number of issues facing the city manager, and he did not agree that Ciaravino met expectations.
