Everett Public Schools to start 100% online in the fall

The school district will have its own staged reopening plan for students and staff

Students in Everett Public Schools will be 100% at home in the fall, Superintendent Ian Saltzman announced in a letter to families today.

"At this time, we plan for our students to begin the 2020-21 school year in a 100% remote model, using a staged approach for in-person reentry into school buildings," Saltzman wrote in the letter, saying remote learning in the fall will look differently from how it did this past spring.

Gov. Jay Inslee shut down all schools to in-person learning in March in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.
