A newly discovered comet has graced the skies above Mill Creek and most of the Northern Hemisphere recently. It is the brightest comet visible in our area in the last 25 years, and it won't be back for another 6,800 years. The Neowise comet was named after the telescope NASA used to discover it, the Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer. It will be visible to the naked eye until the end of the month.
