Two volunteer positions open on the Planning Commission

The Mill Creek City Council is looking for two volunteers to fill two spots on the Planning Commission. Each position is for three years and will expire on April 30, 2023.

Their meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

Duties include:

-Conducting public hearings on all proposed regulations concerning land use in the city or amendments to existing land use regulations and makes recommendations for appropriate action to the City Council.

-Along with staff, preparing a comprehensive plan for anticipating and influencing the orderly and coordinated development of land and building uses of the city and its environs.

-Has all the powers to perform each and all of the duties specified by Chapter 35A.63 RCW, along with other duties or authority that may be conferred upon it by the laws of the State of Washington.
