Glacier Peak’s Matthew King came into the 4A State Boys Swimming Championships with high expectations.
King, who two years ago won the 50- and 100-yard freestyles, decided to take a year off from high school swimming to focus on club but returned for his senior season.
He came into the state meet as the top seed in his two events and among his goals were to rewrite the record books.
