A major snowstorm in mid-February was one of the highlights of the year for Mill Creek.
JANUARY
Caffeine with a cause
One of the first stories of the year was about Mill Creek resident and business owner Kyle Wilson-Wade who worked multiple jobs to save enough money to open his coffee shop and bakery, Kakes & Koffee. He was even living in his car at one point. Wilson-Wade said he hopes to bring the rest of his family to Mill Creek to get away from the violence in his former home, Ferguson, Missouri.
