Offensive woes hurt Jackson in first two contests of season | Football

Self-inflicted mistakes hamper young Wolfpack

The final score may not have reflected it, but Jackson took a step forward in its second game of the season.

Mount Rainier dispatched the Timberwolves 40-0 in a nonconference football game Friday, Sept. 13. The Wolfpack opened the season with a 40-7 loss to Stanwood in another nonconference clash Friday, Sept, 7.

“We did see some of the improvements that we wanted to see,” first-year coach Mason Siddick said. “We were lining up correctly and players were learning their assignments.”

But self-inflicted errors hurt Jackson and its opponents are taking advantage of them.
