Madeline Coats, 22, is the newest editor and reporter for the Mill Creek Beacon.

Coats graduated from the University of Washington this past June. She has degrees in journalism and creative writing, as well as a certificate in leadership.

The team’s newest addition grew up in Sammamish and first began designing newspapers and editing stories as a senior in high school. As a sophomore at the University of Washington, Coats became the Editor-in-Chief of a publication on campus called the Odyssey.
