Summer has arrived in Mill Creek

 

Mill Creek Police Chief Greg Elwin took full advantage of the warm days of spring to get behind the wheel of his powerboat on the Puget Sound. The chief was quick to remind residents to brush up on safety regulations and be sure all of your equipment is ready for a summer under the sun. The chief follows his own advice whether he is cruising the San Juan Islands on his boat or touring the back roads of Skagit and Whatcom counties on his motorcycle.

The kids out of school and parents packing up the car for a road trip. That can only mean the City of Mill Creek is ready for the warmer days of summer with a long list of options for every member of the family.

The list of happenings begins with a Mill Creek favorite, the fifth annual Mill Creek Garden Club Garden Tour on Saturday, June 22, from 11a.m. until 4p.m. This year’s excursion through six backyards will be enhanced with the addition of artisan vendors who will offer everything a garden retreat requires except the blooms.
