Council approves contract for new city manager

The former mayor of the Ohio city of Maple Heights is scheduled to begin his tenure as city manager of Mill Creek after the city council voted unanimously to approve his employment contract at its last regular meeting of April.

Members of the Mill Creek gave their blessing to a three-year contract for Michael Ciaravino that will pay the city’s top administrator $175,000 per year. The language of the contract made e actual agreement a year-to-year contract that will extend until such time that the city manger is terminated.
