Forest View inventor invited to national convention

Forest View Elementary School fourth grader Callia Park couldn’t stand not getting the last few ounces of her shampoo out of the bottle.

Park solved the irritating problem by creating a “tilted dispenser.” She created a mock-up and a working model.

"There used to be tons of soap or shampoo wasted, but I am hoping that with my invention there will be none wasted," she said.

With her Highly Capable class encouraging students to participate in the Washington state Innovation Convention, she created a display board and kept her notes in an innovation notebook.
