Justin Limberg came up an eye blink short of winning his first state title.
Instead the Jackson junior walked away with a second-place medal in the 100-yard breaststroke at the 4A swimming and diving championships Saturday, Feb. 16, at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
Limberg came into the finals as the top seed after a blistering time of 57.08 seconds in Friday’s preliminary heat. He dropped .14 seconds in the finals, finishing in 56.94.
