City Council selects Glacier Peak senior as AWC scholarship nominee

Glacier Peak student Elijah Beals was named the city’s nominee for a prestigious Center for Quality Communities Scholarship warded each year by the Association of Washington Cities.
Beals was named the Mill; Creek nominee by the City Council during their regular meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 19. , The nominee lives with parents in the SpringTree neighborhood.
His nomination puts Beals in contention for the $1,000 grant that will be awarded in May. In addition to the possible AWC scholarship, Beals will receive a $500 grant from the city that can be used toward post secondary education in the...
