Wolfpack senior Skoog claims 4A District crown | Cross country

Jackson’s Joseph Skoog and teammate Brenden Charbeneau finished first and second and helped lead the Timberwolves to the team title at the 4A District 1 boys cross country championships Saturday, Oct. 27, at South Whidbey High School.
Skoog won with a time of 16 minutes, 14.81 seconds, just ahead of Charbeneau, who clocked in at 16:16.88. Kamiak’s Carp Mukai took third and was followed by Glacier Peak’s Tyler Tanta, Elijah Lopez and Riley McDowell and Jackson’s Shane Grossman.
Jackson finished first with 43 points and Glacier Peak secured the second spot to state with 50.
