After opening the season with a win and a loss, the Jackson volleyball team prevailed in four out of its next five matches to move into second place in the Wesco 4A.
The Timberwolves (5-2 in the league and overall) defeated Mount Vernon, Cascade, Kamiak and Mariner all by scores of 3-0. The only loss was to league leader Lake Stevens. ,
The graduation of several all-league players, including a setter, an outside hitter, a middle blocker and a defensive specialist, means some new players are taking on key roles.
