A year ago, Glacier Peak’s Matthew King was looking at the times of some of the results from the state swimming meet and came to a realization.
“I was like ‘Wait. I can win this thing,” King said. “Maybe I should try that out.”
So the Grizzly sophomore decided to join his high school swim team. A year later, King walked away with a pair of state titles at the 4A championships Saturday, Feb. 17, at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
