Voters approve school operations levy, construction bond in doubt

Officials with Everett Public Schools will be forced to make some difficult decisions regarding the future of students at Jackson High School if the current vote trend continues for the $330 million Capital Improvement and Construction Bond.

As of Thursday morning, Feb. 15, the construction bond was a little less than 6 percent short of the 60 percent required by state law for approval. The vote total was 10,174 (54.21 percent) votes of the 18,800 cast in the Feb. 13 special election.
