Offensive woes sink Jackson | Girls basketball

Jackson’s girls couldn’t overcome one of their poorest second quarter performances of the season.

Mariner outscored the Timberwolves 16-3 and withstood a valiant fourth quarter comeback to prevail 52-41 in a Wesco 4A girls basketball game Wednesday, Jan. 31, at Mariner High School.

Wolfpack coach Duane Morris said that the Marauders played a more physical game than the first meeting between the two teams, when Jackson won 71-54.
