Senior center hosts seminar on the need for weed

Individuals who are curious about the potential health benefits of cannabis or the side effects of recreational use of marijuana should are welcome to attend an informational seminar at the Mill Creek Senior Center on the morning of Jan. 24 beginning at 10 a.m.
The store manager and director of operations from Theorem Cannabis will lead the one-hour informational session designed to cover marijuana laws in Washington, the therapeutic purposes compared to the recreational uses of cannabis, the different ways to consume marijuana ranging from smoking and vaping to edibles and soft drinks infused with cannabis oil.
Presenters Erin Green and Audria Jaggers are also scheduled to explain why certain strains of marijuana make you feel peppy, while others make you sleepy. They will also discuss the many ways medical cannabis can be applied, including lotions, tinctures and bath products.
