Traffic was delayed through the evening commute on Monday afternoon when strong winds blew large tree across the intersection at Seattle Hill Road and 35th Ave SE. Work crews from Snohomish County spent more than two hours cutting the tree into sections and clearing debris across that was strewn across the roadways while commuters were detoured traffic and installed a temporary traffic light. City crews were back on the streets on Wednesday to mitigate significant flooding at the end of 132nd Street to a Type 2 catch basin that’s connected to a storm water system. The cause of the most recent flooding is under investigation by the Silver Lake Water District.
