Rain did not dampen the Kiwanian spirit

The weather outside was blustery, but the people at the organizational meeting of the soon-to-be-chartered Mill Creek Kiwanis Club were enthusiastic about the possibility of serving the children and the community.

The lower than expected turnout at the meeting Wednesday night in the City Council chambers did not discourage Jim Garcia. He said the brave souls who ventured into the storm to attend the meeting meant there are dozens more just waiting in the wings.
