Senior running back Pimentel lead Archbishop Murphy past Granite Falls | Football

Senior running back Ray Pimentel ran for 316 yards and three touchdowns to lead Archbishop Murphy to a 52-14 victory over Granite Falls in a Cascade Conference football game Oct. 6 at Archbishop Murphy High School’s Terry Ennis Stadium.
The Tigers took a 6-0 lead on a 71-yard run by quarterback Camden Landrum before the Wildcats (3-0 in the league, 5-1 overall) reeled off eight unanswered touchdowns during the next three quarters.
Sophomore quarterback Victor Gabalis completed 7 of 11 passes for 177 yards and three touchdowns. Archbishop Murphy limited Granite Falls (2-1, 3-3) to only 13 passing yards, though the Tigers accumulated 264 yards on the ground with Landrum accounting for 162 yards on 18 carries. Granite Falls fumbled the ball once and had two interceptions. The Wildcats were flagged for 12 penalties and 103 yards.
Gabalis connected on a 30-yard touchdown pass to Rwehabura Munyagi and Pimentel scored on an 8-yard run in the first quarter.
Jeric Williams had a 4-yard TD run and Pimentel ran 5 yards for a score in the second quarter. Gabalis then threw TD passes of 21 and 73 yards to Dillon Singh Halpin and Munyagi in the second quarter.
Pimentel scored on a 59-yard run and Omar Rodas booted a 51-yard field in the third quarter.
Munyagi caught two passes 103 yards and two touchdowns. Josiah Santiago led the Wildcats with nine tackles.
Archbishop Murphy takes hosts Cedar Park Christian Bothell at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 13, at Terry Ennis Stadium.
