Lake Stevens defeats Glacier Peak | Football

Glacier Peak stayed with defending league champion Lake Stevens for the first quarter, but the Vikings took charge starting in the second quarter.
Lake Stevens scored six unanswered touchdowns to coast to a 63-14 victory over the Grizzlies in a Wesco 4A football game Friday, Oct. 6, at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Trailing 7-0, Glacier Peak junior quarterback Ayden Ziomas scored on a 4-yard run to tie the score at 7 early in the first quarter. Ziomas later found senior wide receiver Bo Burns on a 40-yard touchdown pass to again tie the score at 14.
Ziomas completed 12 of 25 passes for 159 yards and one touchdown. The Grizzlies (2-2 in the league, 3-3 overall) managed only 42 yards on the ground.
Glacier Peak , tied for third place in the league with Jackson (2-2, 2-3) and Cascade (2-2. 4-1), faces Mariner (1-3, 2-4) at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 13, at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
