Archbishop Murphy rebounded in a big way after suffering its first loss in two years.
The Wildcats scored early and often against Sultan, coasting to a 47-7 victory in a Cascade Conference football game Friday, Sept. 29, at Archbishop Murphy High School’s Terry Ennis Stadium.
The Wildcats were coming off a 35-21 non-conference loss to Bellevue, the team’s first defeat since the 2015 state semifinals.
“I think the boys came out strong,” Archbishop Murphy coach Jerry Jensen said. “We had to get better. They’re going to continue to something to get better on a daily basis.”
