Microsoft makes state’s greatest 3rd-quarter gains | Taking Stock

The third quarter of 2017 showed the smallest gain for Washington companies in 2017. The largest companies in the state grew, but gains were less for smaller companies.
Washington’s combined market capitalization grew from $1.387 trillion to $1.429 trillion, a gain of $42 billion. Market capitalization is the value of one share multiplied by the total number of shares.
