Healthy Living Fair features ‘A Taste of Retirement’

Northshore Senior Center, which manages senior centers in Mill Creek, Kenmore and Bothell, is hosting a Healthy Living Fair featuring “A Taste of Retirement.”

Workshops will focus on “Fighting Against Fraud,” Cannabis Education” and “Do you have your affairs in order?”

It will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, at Northshore Senior Center, 10201 E. Riverside Dr., Bothell.

The schedule:

Fighting Against Fraud – Protecting your Nest Egg

9:30-10:15 a.m. This important presentation by Detective Ty Hughes of the Mill Creek Police Department will give you critical information and important tools to prevent, detect and report financial abuse and exploitation.

When it comes to fraud, there are three main challenges facing the average person.

• Avoid being victimized

• Being able to identify the indicators of victimization

• Dealing with the aftermath and getting on with life given the reality.

Cannabis Education with the Novel Tree

10:30-11:15 a.m. Join our certified medical consultants to learn about the medicinal & recreational benefits of cannabis. We will focus on how to navigate product quality, dosage and safe use information to determine what’s best suited for you.

Cannabis can provide relief for sleep issues, appetite loss, chronic pain, inflammation, anxiety, tremors/spasms and more. With so many products in today’s market, we will cover everything from bath salts, soda, tinctures and treats!
