Jackson boys take 2nd at Wesco 4A meet | Track and field

Daniel Arias and Matthew Watkins each won two events to help lead Jackson to a second-place finish at the Wesco 4A boys track and field championships Friday, May 12 at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Snohomish.
Arias won the 200-meter dash in 22.86 seconds and the 400 in 48.65, a personal record. The Jackson junior also finished second in the 100. Watkins, who placed second at last fall’s state cross country meet, won the 1,600 in 4:13.84 and the 3,200 in 9:25.14. The senior standout also placed fifth in the 800.
