Roadwork to eliminate flooding on 35th Avenue SE will begin after county crews finish long-awaited improvements to adjacent Seattle Hill Road.
Commuters were cautioned that the improvement project on Seattle Hill Road would divert more traffic onto the highly-traveled city street while flaggers limit traffic on Seattle Hill Road to one lane. The intermittent closures are expected to last until the project is completed in 2018.
The delays, according to the county, could last up to 20 minutes. A number of full-road closures will be required the summer of 2017.
