Sophomore guard Lexi Ducheane came off the bench to score 14 points to help lead Archbishop Murphy to a 41-37 victory over Prosser in a loser-out 2A state girls basketball tournament game Wednesday, March 1, at the Yakima Valley SunDome.
“It was a huge win,” Wildcats coach Cassie Snyder said. “Being in that environment is obviously difficult. Getting that first win out of the way was big.”
Archbishop Murphy was scheduled to face W.F. West in a quarterfinal match-up on Thursday, March 2.
Even though none of the Wildcats have played in a state tournament game before, they didn’t...
