SRJO to play Count Basie, Miles Davis

The Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra (SRJO) returns to Edmonds Center for the Arts this January with a concert featuring the early music of Count Basie The concert, Basie Bash 1937.

The concert showcases Count Basie's early work from New York in the heyday of swing dancing, with numerous hits from the Basie band's first years in the national spotlight (1937-1939) that were famously recorded for the Decca label.
