Planes, trains and ferries: Thanksgiving travel tips

Washington State Ferries is asking travelers to plan ahead for heavy ferry traffic Thanksgiving weekend.
The longest lines are expected westbound Wednesday afternoon and evening, Nov. 23, and eastbound Friday morning, Nov. 25.
On Thursday, Nov. 24, the Edmonds/Kingston route will operate on its regular schedule with adjustments for the holiday marked and noted in the schedule legend.
Drivers and passengers should note that, due to the holiday, the 5:35 a.m. Kingston departure and the 6:20 a.m. Edmonds departure will not sail.
