Jackson loses to Skyline in quarterfinals | Girls soccer

Jackson had scoring opportunities early on but wasn’t able to cash in on them.

Skyline took advantage of its chances, scoring two goals in the first half, and went on beat the Timberwolves 3-1 in a 4A state quarterfinal girls soccer game at Skyline High School.

The Wolfpack, which had won 11 straight games coming into Saturday’s game, finished the season 14-3-3.

“We weren’t able to put any shots away when we should have,” Jackson coach Sarah Smart said. “That kind of determined the outcome. They played really hard. They are a great team.”
