Archbishop Murphy to play Olympic Saturday | Football

Last updated 10/21/2016 at Noon

Archbishop Murphy is scheduled to play its first football game since mid-September.

The Wildcats’ previous four opponents, all Cascade Conference schools, forfeited their games due to player safety concerns.

Non-conference opponent Olympic, however, has agreed to go ahead with this week’s contest, which is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 at Archbishop Murphy High School.

In their last game, the Wildcats blanked King’s 38-0 on Sept. 16. Forfeits by South Whidbey, Sultan, Granite Falls and Cedar Park Christian – Bothell followed.

Cedarcrest has announced it will forfeit its Oct. 28 game. The district playoffs are scheduled to start Nov. 4-5.
