Wolfpack roughed up by Vikings | Football

The Jackson football team has had a tough two weeks since its league opening shutout win.

The Timberwolves dropped back-to-back games to Glacier Peak and Lake Stevens after starting out Wesco 4A play with a decisive victory over Mount Vernon.

Injuries and a talented Vikings squad derailed the Wolfpack in a 49-19 loss on Sept 30 at Everett Memorial Stadium.

The two teams were tied at 7 after the first quarter before Lake Stevens outscored Jackson 35-6 in the second and third quarters.

Wolfpack coach Joel Vincent praised the Vikings, who he described as a “dang good football team.”
