Mill Creek Police Department implements life-saving Narcan program

Recognizing there is an opioid pandemic in Snohomish County, the Mill Creek Police Department is joining area law enforcement agencies in taking a proactive step to battle this problem.

Officers are being trained in the use of Narcan, also known as Naloxone, a drug used to block the effects of opioids on the brain. It gives individuals who have overdosed on opioids a better chance at surviving. Sgt. Sean Conner is spearheading the program, and the Mill Creek Police Department plans to have all officers trained by the end of 2016.
